Wedding at “Emak Bakea” in Bidart, Basque Coast - South-West of France
This beautiful wedding took place in Bidart, in the heart of the Basque Coast, where two Parisians, Caroline and Sébastien, chose a unique and charming venue: Emak Bakea, a traditional Basque house whose name means “Give us peace” in Euskara.
Formerly a 17th-century farmhouse, the property sits above the beach of Parlementia, between Bidart and Guéthary, offering a spectacular sea view and a private garden enclosed by a stone wall — opening directly onto the cliffside.
Personally, I found this location extraordinary, full of untamed charm and rich in Basque soul. It left such a strong impression that I already plan to return one weekend just to enjoy the sound of the waves and the breathtaking sunset.
