Aimee and Matthew, a deeply in-love Australian couple, contacted me to photograph their elegant destination wedding in France. Their special day took place at Château Picoron, the stunning family estate of Matthew, located in the picturesque village of Sainte-Colombe, in the heart of Bordeaux’s wine country.
Sainte-Colombe is a historic commune with roots dating back to the Gallo-Roman era. The estate, known as "Picoron", features traces of vineyard cultivation from the early 18th century. In 2015, Matthew’s parents - passionate about French wine and culture - purchased the château and transformed it into a truly magical venue for weddings.
The château’s refined charm, panoramic vineyard views, and timeless architecture created the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable celebration. The love and joy radiating from Aimee and Matthew made the atmosphere even more special, and it was a privilege to capture their emotional and joyful day.
